Renovation Cultivates a Learning Environment Aligned with a School’s Mission

The Montessori School of Central Vermont serves children from the age of 18 months through the age of 12 with a Toddler Program (18-36 months), a Primary Program (ages 3-6), and an Elementary Program (ages 6-12).  The school’s mission is “to provide a learning environment that supports the development of a genuine sense of self and social responsibility in our children as citizens of the world”.  This project doubles the size of the existing structure with a new addition, giving the school the opportunity to tailor the building to their ideal learning environment with expanded and flexible spaces.  The addition will provide a new main entry into the building, two much needed elementary classrooms sized for project based learning, a nap room, and a multi-purpose room which will provide ample and flexible indoor activity space.   This addition is currently under construction.

The newly built classrooms have made a remarkable difference in our children's learning environment. The abundance of natural light pouring through the windows has created a brighter, more welcoming atmosphere, boosting the overall mood and energy levels of the children. These classrooms are truly an investment in the future of our students, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
