McKenzie DeBruin, AIA Assoc. LEED Green Assoc.

Architectural Designer

McKenzie graduated from Norwich University in 2021 with a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies.  Originally from Vermont, McKenzie grew up cultivating a close relationship with nature and the outdoors.  Through her time living and earning an education in Vermont, McKenzie has worked jobs on farms, various ski industry positions, modular and tiny house construction, and landscaping.  While she was in school, McKenzie also enjoyed a taste of the city life while studying abroad in Berlin, Germany and interning at an architecture firm in Portland, Maine.

McKenzie’s passion for Vermont’s natural environment, sustainable practices, and strong communities led her to begin a career at gbA as an Architectural Designer.  In her time so far on the gbA team, she has been able to work on various project types including commercial, educational, multi-family residential and community, from the concept rendering phase to construction bid documents.  Outside of work, McKenzie likes to ski, mountain bike, hike, and search for spectacular natural swimming holes.
