79 Pine Street

View Project Details

Dubbed “The Nest” by its owner, 79 Pine is a nine story residential tower design to reinforce the city of Burlington’s goal for achieving high density and mixed income housing within the downtown core.  As the first new apartment project in Burlington’s Downtown District in quite some time, the tower consists of 49 apartments with a wide variety of layouts and types serving a broad range of income levels wishing to embrace urban living.  The developer asked for an iconic building that will be a downtown landmark and be constructed utilizing green building practices.

The project includes a high performance exterior shell of insulated metal panel and brick with a green roof and planted terraces.  It is a transit oriented project located on a local bus line and within a short three block walk to both the downtown multi modal transit center and the Amtrak train station.  There are also EV charging stations for residents and covered bike parking.  The interior layout features a remarkably high percentage of corner apartments which have panoramic city and lake views.

“Housing, especially in downtown, is in very high demand. The moment I saw the beautiful rendering of "The Nest", I got super excited to build it.”
